“星を見る” [Hoshi o Miru] - “Seeing Stars”

8x4” original illustration I brought to life using a potent palette of artistic assets including @micronart pens, @sharpie and @prismacolor markers and a couple @gellyrollph gel pens for a little extra pop.

The entire sequence of this scene from #ChainsawMan was honestly some of the most impressive animated cinematography and quite possibly the most accurate and elegantly depicted intimacy between two human beings I’ve ever seen - not to mention @mappastudios took the time to animate the same scene twice from two different perspectives both with their own distinct and dynamic camera angles. I could go on, but from the second I saw this shot I knew I had to take a whack at recreating it 🥰.
